Let's Make Omaha Pride 2009 more political!

A bit of GLBT history: On June 28, 1970, the first Gay Pride marches took place in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco commemorating the anniversary of the Stonewall riots. Similar marches were organized in other cities; today Gay Pride events are held annually throughout the world toward the end of June to mark the Stonewall riots. For Nebraska Gay Pride 2009, I propose a group of us help make it more political in Nebraska. I propose we get our activists together and march with our signs and megaphones in the Pride Parade to Protest Nebraska's lack of gay rights legislation at this years Gay Pride Parade.
