Does Omaha Need a Gay Village? and WHY do you feel that way?

I believe it does. I believe it would improve the GLBT quality of life in Omaha. Of course, being able to be cordial to one another would improve it, too. LOL

In your opinion, What makes, or would make, Omaha a gay friendly city?

Before we go the step of having an Omaha Gay Village, I think we need a active and pro-active GLBT Chamber of Commerce in our area. People need to get involved in Gay Pride in Omaha, so what if you don't feel welcome! Likewise, I think the Gay Pride committee could start thinking out of the box for once and listen to other people's ideas. You're there to make Gay Pride an experience for ALL GLBT members, not just to make you and your friends happy. Until then, I can settle for the online version of the Omaha Gay Village.

Are you part of any GLBT organizations in Nebraska or iowa? If so, which ones?

I'll play in the Omaha GLBT Sports League, if I have time.

A bit of GLBT history: On June 28, 1970, the first Gay Pride marches took place in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco commemorating the anniversary of the Stonewall riots. We will apply for marriage licenses. Everyone welcome to participate: fiances, partners, and those who "get engaged for the day" - supporters who will not apply also welcome.

I was trying to find a link to this gay tv channel someone told me about here in Omaha, if you know about it forward me the link! LOL (I'm the who is supposed to tell you all about it! *sheepish grin*)
